Dr. Rhonda Ross is Clinical
Neuropsychologist licensed by the New Mexico Board of Psychological Examiners,
Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists, and Florid Board of
Psychology. She is board certified in Pediatric Neuropsychology by the American
Board of Pediatric Neuropsychology.
Dr. Ross has practiced in
Albuquerque, New Mexico since 2010 with a focus on evaluating and treating
individuals with known or suspected neurological disease, illness or injury,
psychiatric disorders and chronic illness in both the inpatient and outpatient
medical setting. Dr. Ross has a strong background in traumatic brain injury and
stroke rehabilitation. Dr. Ross holds hospital privileges at Lovelace
Rehabilitation Hospital and Lovelace Medical Center Downtown.
Dr.
Ross strives to help patients and their families maximize their
abilities to adapt to the changes imposed upon them by neurologic and other
medical conditions. She takes a holistic approach, incorporating an understanding
of the individual and his/her background history, medical complications,
personal needs, culture and environment and attempts to incorporate a
collaborative team approach to patient care.
Dr. Rhonda Ross holds three (3)
degrees: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of South Florida,
Master of Arts and Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degrees in Clinical Psychology
from the Florida School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in
Tampa, Florida. Dr. Ross is currently completing a Post-Doctoral Master of
Science degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology from New Mexico State University
in Las Cruces, New Mexico. In addition, Dr. Ross is a nationally certified
trainer in Brain Injury through the Academy of Certified Brain Injury
Specialist and holds certification in aviation psychology as a
HIMS-Psychologist through the Federal Aviation Administration HIMS Program.
Dr. Ross completed four (4) years of
clinical training: Pre-Doctoral Internship in Clinical Psychology, specializing
in Pediatric and Adult Neuropsychology and Forensic Psychology at Utah State
Hospital; Post-Doctoral Residency and Fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology
and an additional formal Fellowship in Forensic Neuropsychology at Suncoast
Neuropsychology Laboratories in Tampa, Florida.
Dr. Ross is a member of the American
Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology, the American Psychological Association,
the National Academy of Neuropsychology, the New Mexico Psychological
Association, the State Psychologist Association New Mexico and the Academy of
Certified Brain Injury Specialists. She is a respected teacher, speaker,
researcher and author. Dr. Ross brings over 15 years’ experience to Lovelace
Medical Group.
