Biography:
Dr. Armstrong is currently on medical staff at CHOC Children’s Hospital
in Orange, California. She is part of the Neuropsychology Specialty division,
and is a liaison to the Neuroscience Program. In addition to her clinical
responsibilities, she is part of the CHOC Psychology Sports Concussion Program.
She also supervises neuropsychology practicum and intern students.
Dr. Armstrong has been in private practice since 2006 and maintains an
office in Fullerton, California, providing neuropsychological assessment,
treatment, and consultation of the cognitive and behavioral affects
of disorders including autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, ADHD,
traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, and other neurologic/medical issues.
Dr. Armstrong completed her Doctoral degree in 2005 in Clinical
Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant in Los
Angeles, CA. She also completed a Masters Degree in
Counseling from the University of Miami, and a Bachelor’s Degree from the
University of California, Santa Barbara. She completed an APA-Accredited
internship at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center, and a post-doctoral
fellowship at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA. Dr. Armstrong is a
member of the American Psychological Association, and National Academy of
Neuropsychology.
Dr. Armstrong’s presentations include topics on neuropsychological
correlates of traumatic brain injury, Asperger’s Disorder, and other medical
conditions.
